Jerusalem-based nonprofit PICO Kids organized the PICOrona Makeathon, a virtual event where children came up with innovative ideas to address challenges during the coronavirus crisis. The event aimed to fight the isolation of the elderly and tackle other issues such as fake news, indoor physical activity, and education outside classrooms. PICO Kids, established in 2012, runs programs for schoolchildren in Jerusalem, focusing on STEM education and soft skills.
