Israeli startup Peas Of Bean, selected by Shufersal as the producer of vegan burgers under the supermarket chains private label, is expanding and establishing a factory in Kiryat Shmona with an investment of 10 million shekels. The factory will employ 45 workers. The Ministry of Economy and the Regional Industrial Administration have approved the allocation of land for the factory and a 90% subsidy for the development costs of the land. This is the first factory approved in the foodtech park being built in the northern industrial zone of Kiryat Shmona, covering an area of 117 dunams.
