Turning plastic waste into smart watering modules.
Pots Farms, a start-up created by TAU students, aims to transform Tel Aviv into a green smart city by implementing a carbon neutral plant delivery system and using plastic waste to create smart watering modules. The start-up operates by delivering plants by bicycles and uses funds from the online plant store to produce recycled pots with self-watering modules. The mission of Pots Farms is to reduce plastic pollution and address world hunger. In just one week, the start-up has covered Tel Aviv with an additional 15.4 cubic meters of green space, contributing 6.8 kg of oxygen and saving 13.65 kg of carbon emissions.
