Promisec has won an enterprise license agreement with the State of Texas Department of Information Resources, allowing more than 1 million endpoints at Texas state agencies, schools, and institutions to use Promisecs technology. Promisec raises $2.4m from Old City Partners
Israeli start-up Promisec has received a $2.4 million investment from US-based venture capital firm Old City Partners. The funding will be used to continue activities in the US market. Promisec provides clientless solutions for LAN and WAN-based desktop and server security analysis and remediation. The company has customers in Israel, the US, and western Europe, and recently signed an exclusive distribution agreement for Japan. Promisecs software detects, prevents, monitors, and repairs irregularities within an organizations internal network. The investment by Old City Partners is seen as strategic and will help Promisec reach strategic customers in the US.
