Quantum Design Materials Overview

Quantum Designed Materials (QDM) specializes in designing new crystals based on quantum principles, with a focus on creating room-temperature superconductors. In contrast to prior methods that yielded only incremental improvements, QDM uses a model based on the full crystal Hamiltonian, enabling it to use quantum chemistry to determine the chemistry needed for superconductivity.

חברת החשמל has invested $1.1 million in QDM (Quantum Designed Materials), a company developing room-temperature superconductors. In addition, a cooperation agreement was signed under which QDM will conduct a pilot based on the technology it developed to test its feasibility and adapt it to the needs of חברת החשמל. QDM is aiming to raise funds at a valuation of $100 million.
