Quantum hub and Leumi Partners launching $30 million Q Fund CTech
The Livnat and Unger families are establishing a $30 million fund named the Q Fund, which will invest in startups in the automotive, mobility, Industry 4.0, and logistics fields. The fund will operate alongside the Quantum program, connecting startups with potential customers. Leumi Partners will also be part of the fund.

Quantum Hub, in collaboration with Traffic-Light and Telecar Group, launched a startup program focused on automotive and smart transportation companies. The program aims to help technology companies develop a deep understanding of their product and create partnerships with leading companies in the field. Over 100 candidates applied, and 4 companies were selected for the MVP stage and beyond. The program will provide support for 13 weeks to build proof of concepts (POCs) in collaboration with commercial partners. The commercial partners will provide testing facilities and workshops across the country. The selected startups are Make My Day, Nemodata, Actasys, and EVCO.

Car importers Ungar and Livnat families to invest in auto tech companies
Talcar Group, the Kia importer, has joined Quantum, an ingenuity center operated by the Taavura-Livnat group. Quantum assists technology start-ups in the auto tech, mobility, energy, and industry 4.0 fields. Talcar and Quantum plan to set up a private car test field with overseas manufacturers, test vehicles, and facilities for the development and testing of new products and technologies. They are also considering the creation of an investment fund. Talcar joins other car importers that have their own incubators and auto-tech innovation centers.

Quantum SPARK completes first cohort with five graduating startups
Quantum SPARK, a POC program launched by Quantum Hub, celebrated the end of its three-month partnership program with a graduation event. Five startups displayed their POCs alongside their corporate partners, including Hyundai Motor Company, VDL Group, and Tadiran Group. The program aims to help startups target and market their companies to potential partners, mentors, and investors. The event featured a keynote session from pilot and investor Aviv Tzidon. Quantum SPARKs first cohort of startups showcased their achievements after 12 weeks in the program. Applications for the second cohort will open in April 2021.

The first program, Quantum SPARK, will support selected start-ups for 12 weeks with mentoring, access to potential partners and investors, workspace, and a $50,000 investment for POC funding. The deadline for applications is July 15th.
