Berlin-based startup Re-Fresh Global has raised €1.1 million in a pre-seed funding round. The company, which focuses on sustainable textile upcycling, plans to use the funds to strengthen its research and development activities and increase its capacity to process textile waste. The funding round attracted a number of high-profile investors, including Earlybird, Serpentine.vc, and Frank Dupuis of DUPUIS INVESTMENT. The company was founded in 2021 by Revital Nadiv and Viktoria Kanar.

Israeli company launches pilot program to help solve problem of textile waste

Re-Born Global, an Israeli platform for a circular economy in textiles, has launched Re-Born Textiles, a circular management system for textile waste. The fashion industrys contribution to global carbon emissions has created a need for innovative solutions. Re-Born Textiles offers a three-pillar system: reusing discarded clothes, upcycling textiles into new products, and recycling textiles for other industries. The pilot program will take place in Kfar Saba, involving nearly 100 women who will learn about the challenges and solutions in the fashion and textile industry. The project has received support from Kfar Saba Mayor Raffi Saar and the German embassy in Israel.
