ReAbility Online Overview

ReAbility Online offers a motion and speech system designed to improve patient access to chronic rehabilitation care by facilitating therapy beyond a traditional healthcare facility and expanding the continuity and intensity of care to people with disabling conditions. The company focuses on patients who have suffered a stroke or traumatic brain injury, but its system is suited for many diverse conditions. ReAbility Onlines system includes a home-based exercise and monitoring platform that empowers patients to self-practice while providing remote guidance via a clinical call center. The company provides individually tailored exercises with programmable levels of difficulty, clear auditory feedback, and tracking of results and performance while providing patients with dynamic information on their progress. The system also allows offline exercise for independent use with sporadic check-ups from the clinician. Online and offline data is stored for subsequent interpretation and clinician recommendations. The team includes senior clinical and technology experts who develop systems to provide rehabilitation services for people in their homes. ReAbility Online is an initiative of the Gertner Institute, a large research institute at the Sheba Medical Center.
