Refinitiv, an LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) business, is one of the world’s largest providers of financial markets data and infrastructure. With $6.25 billion in revenue, over 40,000 customers and 400,000 end users across 190 countries, Refinitiv is powering participants across the global financial marketplace. The company provides information, insights, and technology that enable customers to execute critical investing, trading and risk decisions with confidence. The company was founded in 2018. It is a subsidiary of London Stock Exchange Group after a US$27 billion sale from previous owners Blackstone Group LP which held a 55% stake and Thomson Reuters which owned 45%. The Israeli R&D center is the former Thomson Reuters local outpost that was established after acquiring the Israeli company ClearForest in 2007. The R&D center employs natural-language processing technologies to detect events in narrative text, extract entities, classify topics, and identify meaningful connections between entities.
