remotEMDR has developed a platform that equips EMDR therapists with a holistic solution for online EMDR therapy. remotEMDR enables the therapist to control and monitor the presentation of bilateral stimulation (BLS) remotely while it runs synchronously on both the therapists computer and the clients computer. The visual and auditory aspects of the BLS (e.g. color, speed, type, etc.) can be changed and saved according to each clients preferences, both between and during remote EMDR sessions. remoteEMDR works with Zoom, Skype, and other leading video-chat platforms. In response to the coronavirus outbreak, remotEMDR is currently being offered free of charge.

A new study has confirmed that online Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy conducted via remotEMDR is safe, effective, and efficient. The study was carried out using the remotEMDR platform, which allows therapists to deliver EMDR therapy through video-conferencing. The platform also offers a Find a Therapist service, allowing clients to search through an extensive professional index. The study, which involved 24 participants, found significant changes in all aspects of trauma memory tested. remotEMDR is an Israeli start-up founded in 2018 and is used by more than twenty thousand therapists worldwide.
