Resonetics Announces Acquisition of EaglePicher Medical Power
Resonetics has acquired EaglePicher Technologies Medical Power business, a leading manufacturer of implantable batteries for critical medical devices. The acquisition adds novel implantable battery solutions to Resonetics portfolio, positioning the company as a leading supplier in the bioelectronics market. The Vancouver-based facility of EaglePicher Medical Power brings extensive application engineering resources and manufacturing expertise. Chris Huntington, President of EaglePicher Medical Power, will join Resonetics as its Chief Commercial Officer. Resonetics plans to invest further in battery solutions and establish a Lightspeed Application Development Lab. Resonetics has completed eleven acquisitions in the past five years and operates out of 14 sites with over 1,900 employees.

Resonetics Acquires Medical Business of Hutchinson Technology, Inc.
Resonetics has acquired the medical business of Hutchinson Technology, Inc. (HTI). The acquisition includes HTIs proprietary manufacturing processes for fabricating and assembling metal components used in surgical devices. Resonetics aims to integrate mechanical and electronic components to enhance precision and improve patient outcomes. The company has also signed a long-term lease for a facility in Hutchinson, Minnesota, and will gain a tenured staff of nearly 150 engineers, technicians, and skilled associates.

Resonetics expands investment in Medibrane
Medibrane, an Israeli medical devices company, has received another investment from Resonetics. Medibrane specializes in producing coatings for nitinol medical devices, while Resonetics specializes in nitinol production. Resonetics has been a shareholder in Medibrane since acquiring STI last November. The investment will allow Medibrane to scale faster and serve its medical device customers. The two companies activities complement each other, and there are synergies between Medibranes coverings technology and Resonetics nitinol processing capabilities. Medibrane won first prize in a startup competition in December 2018. The investment deal shows Resonetics involvement in the Israeli market following its acquisition of STI.

Israel's STI Laser Industries acquired by Resonetics - Forbes Israel
Resonetics has acquired STI Laser Industries, a leading supplier of laser processing and other services for the medical device industry. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition allows Resonetics to expand its nitinol processing capabilities and gain access to STIs extensive customer relationships in the US, Japan, China, and Korea. STI is doubling the size of its operations in Or Akiva to accommodate its growth. Resonetics previously announced a strategic alliance with Meraqi Medical and acquired Swiss manufacturer Medelec. Resonetics, founded in 1987, provides contract manufacturing services to the life sciences industry and is owned by Regatta Medical, a portfolio company of GTCR.
