Rewind.earth, a startup founded by Ram Omar in February 2022, aims to replicate the natural process of CO2 removal by collecting large quantities of plants, packaging them, and burying them at the bottom of the Black Sea. The company has set ambitious goals to bury 100 million tons of CO2 per year. The planned business model of the company is to finance the activity from credits that polluting corporations will buy for emission cuts - a new and huge economy that is being created these days and is expected to be a fertile ground for much innovation in the future.
