Riverbed acquires Israeli SaaS co Aternity for $70m

Riverbed Technology has acquired Israeli SaaS company Aternity for an undisclosed amount, believed to be $60-70 million. Aternity, founded in 2004, has developed end-user experience monitoring tools. The acquisition is seen as a strategic move by Riverbed to complement and extend its SteelCentral solutions. With the increased use of mobile devices, virtual desktop environments, and the cloud, managing end user experience has become more important and complex for IT organizations. Riverbed and its partners are now uniquely positioned to provide a complete view across networks, applications, and end users.
