RM Global Partners LLC has raised an additional $34 million in funding for its Israel-based RMGP Biopharma Investment Fund. The funds portfolio consists of 11 startups operating at the companys FutuRx biotech accelerator in Ness Ziona, Israel. The total fund commitments now amount to $64 million. The FutuRx Biopharma incubator was founded in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Takeda Ventures Inc., OrbiMed Advisors LLC, and the Israel Innovation Authority.

RM Global to invest $30m in FutuRx biotech startups

US-based investment bank RM Global is setting up a new venture capital fund that will invest exclusively in companies operating in Israels FutuRx incubator. The fund has closed its first financing round of $30 million and is planning a second round. The FutuRx incubator was founded three years ago by OrbiMed Israel Partners, Johnson & Johnson Innovation and Takeda Ventures. RM Globals Israeli branch was founded five years ago by Yaron Breski, a partner in RM Global in the US, and Assaf Keret.
