Sensory, Rubidium Bring Alexa Wakeup to Qualcomm SoCs - Mobile ID World
Qualcomm is partnering with Sensory Inc. and Rubidium to enable voice-activated wakeup for the Alexa AI assistant on their Bluetooth Audio CSR8670 and CSR8675 system-on-chips. This technology allows developers to incorporate Alexa voice activation into their products, including smart speakers and fitness tracking devices. The technology is capable of detecting the wake word even in loud environments or when the device is playing music. Qualcomm believes that this partnership will reduce integration and development time for device manufacturers, leading to cost reduction opportunities. This collaboration is significant as voice interaction becomes increasingly important in mobile devices and IoT products.
