Samsung leases six floors in Tel Aviv's Azrieli Town
Samsungs management in Israel has signed a long-term lease with Israeli property company Azrieli Group for office space in the Azrieli Town project in Tel Aviv. The project includes a 35-floor office building, a 50-floor residential tower, commercial space, and a parking lot. The lease is for six floors with 9,000 square meters. Azrieli Group has already signed agreements to rent out nearly 100% of the office space in the project, with tenants including WeWork, Fischer Behar Chen Well Orion & Co., and Kesselman and Kesselman - PwC.

Samsung subsidiary Harman sees Israel as key to autotech strategy, CEO says
Harman International Industries, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, has opened a new facility in Israel that will serve as its headquarters in the country. The 46,000-square foot facility includes a smart-car lab for researching and testing cybersecurity, software, and automotive cloud solutions. The new center consolidates Harmans existing research and development centers in Israel. Samsung Electronics buys Israeli image sensor developer, first acquisition in a decade
Samsung Electronics has acquired Israeli image sensor developer TransChip Israel Ltd. for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition is aimed at enhancing Samsungs competitiveness in CMOS image sensors used in digital cameras and mobile phones. TransChip Israel Ltd. will be renamed Samsung Semiconductor Israel R&D centre Ltd. This is Samsungs first acquisition in over a decade. The move is seen as a strategic step to strengthen Samsungs position against mobile phone rivals such as Nokia, Motorola, and LG Electronics, particularly in high-end handsets that focus on camera functions.
