Sensa is dropping policyholders
Sensa Insurance Company, a subsidiary of MDGo, is asking agents to find new coverage for Sensa policyholders with different insurance companies. Sensa was launched in Illinois in February 2022, offering consumers auto insurance with a crash detection sensor based on MDgos technology. The companys CEO, Itay Bengad, stated that he was forced to remove Sensa from the marketplace after he wasnt able to acquire the systems or make the changes he desired with the companys board of directors. The future of Sensa is unclear as the company is reducing the number of independent agencies it works with.

The companys approach shifts the focus from the First Notice of Loss to the loss event itself, providing personalized support and situational awareness. Sensas technology has been successfully tested in Europe and is backed by investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Target Global, Volvo, Hyundai Motors, and Nationwide.
