Israeli Techstars grad wants online accessibility to move beyond lip service
Israel-based startup SenseIT aims to help companies make their websites more accessible to people with disabilities. The startup offers a platform that can integrate within existing sites and coding setups to ensure full accessibility. The CEO, Tamar Shapira, emphasizes that compliance with accessibility laws is not enough and that companies should focus on gaining more customers. SenseIT has already acquired two paying customers, including Israeli airline El Al, and has participated in the Techstars accelerator program. The companys platform can transform existing QA automated tests into web-accessibility tests, making the process more efficient and cost-effective. The goal is to improve millions of lives and restore revenue lost due to frustrated customers.

Tamar Schapira of SenseIT wins the best women-led startup in 2019 eustan
Tamar Schapira of SenseIT was declared the winner of the final of the Next Women Female Founders Force Program. She will gain access to a network of more than 150 investors, an EY Growth Navigator, and a potential place in the HearstLab in Amsterdam. The program aims to provide exposure, valuable knowledge, and connections for female entrepreneurs. Previous finalists of the program have raised funding between €500,000 and €1 million. This year, more than a hundred women-led startups signed up for the program. The Next Women is an international movement that supports ambitious women and their companies.
