Groundwater pollution to be monitored at 14 sites in nationwide project
Sensoil, an Israel-based company, is collaborating with Maltas Energy and Water Agency to pilot a groundbreaking system for monitoring groundwater quality across 14 agricultural sites in Malta. This initiative, partially funded by EU Cohesion Funds, aims to assess the sustainability of various farming practices by analyzing the impact on groundwater quality. The project is significant as Malta faces severe water stress and nitrate pollution issues. Authorities hope the insights gained will guide farmers in optimizing fertiliser use, thereby promoting sustainable agriculture. The project aligns with the UNs sustainable development goals related to water management. Sensoils technology, already in use globally, is expected to provide valuable data to improve water quality and agricultural practices.

Rivendell Vadose Zone Monitoring System Installation | Rempe Research Group
Eel River CZO researchers have successfully installed a Vadose Zone Monitoring System (VMS) at the Rivendell experimental hillslope in Northern California. This system, developed by Ofer Dahan and Sensoil Ltd., is designed to monitor unsaturated moisture in complex environments. The VMS was installed in a borehole drilled at a 55-degree angle, allowing it to access moisture in weathered and fractured rock. This installation marks a significant advancement in environmental monitoring technology, showcasing Sensoil Ltd.s innovative capabilities.
