SMS-Sequent bags internet voting project - Malaya Business Insight
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has awarded the online voting and counting system (OVCS) project for the 2025 overseas voting to the joint venture of SMS Global Technologies Inc. and Sequent Tech Inc. The joint venture submitted a bid of P112 billion, significantly lower than the approved budget of P465.8 billion, resulting in savings of P353.810 billion for the government. The SMS-Sequent JV was selected as the bidder with the lowest calculated and responsive bid, surpassing competitors such as Voatz Inc.-ePLDT Inc.-EBizolution, Inc. JV, and others.
