Sherut.net builds a social network for customer service
Dov Moran, the creator of the disk on key, has launched Sherut.net, a social platform that aims to improve customer service by allowing users to compare prices and features and share recommendations and criticisms. The platform provides contacts for various companies in different categories, such as communications, insurance, car rental, and supermarkets. Users can record conversations and read/write recommendations on the website. Sherut.net is available as an app for iPhone and Android, with a Windows phone app and versions for other countries in development. This is Morans second start-up this year, following the launch of Comigo, a company that develops Android-based set-top boxes for smart TVs. Morans previous company, m-systems, was sold to SanDisk for $1.6 billion in 2006.
