MassChallenge Israel Names Shanenli among 42 Startups To 2021 Accelerator Cohort
MassChallenge Israel has announced the 42 startups that will join its accelerator program in 2021. The startups were selected from nearly 400 candidates in Israel and other countries. The program will provide mentorship, connections, and introductions to partners, experts, and investors. Over 34% of the selected startups are in the health tech field, while others work in cybersecurity, e-commerce, fintech, social impact, and energy and clean tech. Notable Israeli companies in the cohort include FlyWorks, IMMA, Matricelf, and RightHear. MassChallenge is a global startup accelerator that has supported numerous companies and has raised over $6.2 billion in funding.

A new application from the creators of משנה סדורה has been launched, which uses speech recognition technology to help students practice reciting Mishnah by heart in a pleasant and experiential way. The app is available for free download in the Google app store. The app, called שנן-לי, covers the tractate of Avot, with the body of the Mishnah arranged according to the משנה סדורה method. The app allows the student to hear the Mishnah from the device and repeat it as desired. Once proficiency is acquired, the student moves on to the test part, and the software listens to the recitation and responds in voice and color, to indicate in the text the successes and what needs improvement.
