Siemens has signed an agreement to acquire Supplyframe, a leading Design-to-Source platform for the global electronics value chain, for USD 0.7 billion. The acquisition will provide seamless access to Siemens offerings and Supplyframes marketplace intelligence, helping customers reduce costs and increase agility. The acquisition strengthens Siemens portfolio in the field of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), and expands into other domains and technology fields. Supplyframes revenue for fiscal year 2021 is expected to be around $70 million. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2021.
