Israeli cybersecurity company SIGA OT Solutions has completed an $8.1 million series B funding round led by PureTerra Ventures. The funds will be used to accelerate sales and strategic collaborations abroad. SIGAs SigaGuard is a machine-learning based solution for smart and reliable operational process monitoring and early-detection of anomalies. The company aims to protect Israeli manufacturing, water, electric, and chemical facilities against cyberattacks. Some of SIGAs customers include the New York Power Authority, Singapores water company, and the Israel Electric Corporation. The funding round brings the total funding raised to $15 million.

Israel Water Authority taps SIGA for cyber protection of the country's water supply
The Israel Water Authority has chosen SIGA OT Solutions and its SigaGuard system to strengthen the cyber defenses of the countrys water system. The decision comes after cyberattacks last year targeted Israels water utilities. SigaGuard can protect the machinery and equipment in the Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technologies (OT) environments. The solution can also deal with ransomware attacks. SIGA OT Solutions was selected after a successful pilot connecting several regional water and sewage utilities to a Security Operations Center (SOC) for defending against cyberattacks. The companys CEO, Amir Samoiloff, emphasized the importance of securing water utilities and highlighted SIGAs suitable solution. SIGA OT Solutions operates in multiple countries and has partners such as Phoenix Contact, ST Engineering, and MedOne.

Israeli cyber security co SIGA raises $3.5m
Israeli cyber security company SIGA Data Security has raised $3.5 million in an investment from Canadian venture capital fund Awz Homeland Security. SIGA has developed process anomaly detection and cyber security technologies for critical industrial control systems and infrastructure operations. The investment will be used to address the growing demand for cyber security in the world of Operating Technology (OT). As part of the agreement, Awz HLS Fund and SIGA will establish a joint subsidiary in North America for exclusive distribution rights of SIGAs technology. Awz HLS Fund has previously invested in Israeli cyber security company Octopus.
