Sion Medical to produce N95 face masks

Israeli company Sion Medical has won a fast track tender by the Ministry of Health to set up a production line for N95 masks to protect medical staff against the coronavirus. The company will begin setting up the production line and expects to complete it by April 15. Production will commence in May, with a planned supply of 800,000 masks that month, increasing to 1.5 million in June and two million masks per month thereafter. Sion Medical is already prepared with the necessary raw materials for the first two million masks. The company is focusing on supplying equipment to hospitals and health funds in Israel.
