Siyata Mobile, Softil team to develop MCX-compliant rugged LTE handset
Siyata Mobile is developing a ruggedized LTE handset that will leverage Softil’s BEEHD technology to deliver mission-critical-push-to-talk (MCPTT) and other mission-critical communications. The new handset is expected to be commercially available in the second half of this year. Siyata Mobiles vice president of sales mentioned that the company is working with wireless carriers and hopes to launch new carriers around the world and in North America. The company expects to showcase the new device at the IWCE 2021 event. Softils BEEHD MCPTX supports 3GPP standards for Release 16 MCX and is working towards compliance with Release 17. Siyata Mobiles collaboration with Softil is seen as promising for the MCX solutions market.

Softil continues to enable MCPTT/MCX solutions for First Responders and public safety sector
Catalyst Communications Technologies has chosen Softils BEEHD technology to build its IntelliLink Interworking solutions and Dispatch Consoles for FirstNet and other MCX networks. The solutions will serve as a transitional bridge between Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and MCX technologies, allowing first responders to gradually adopt new MCX technologies without abandoning previous investments. The partnership between Catalyst and Softil was formed under a contract from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate. Softils BEEHD technology enables IP-based mission-critical voice and video communications over LTE solutions.

Softil tech selected to develop MCPTT devices for South Korean rail line
Softils BEEHD technology has been selected to build communication devices for KORAIL, South Koreas national railroad network. The devices will leverage mission-critical-push-to-talk (MCPTT) and other mission-critical-communications (MCC or MCX) standards. The LTE-R devices developed using Softils BEEHD technology are scheduled to be available early next year. Softils platform has been previously used to develop MCX solutions for South Korean railroads. Softils BEEHD platform is also being used by South Korean service provider Hanswell to build fixed terminals at police stations. The South Korea railroad MCX solutions are designed with the expectation of LTE-R network connectivity at all times.
