Stingray buys Israeli co Yokee Music for $40m
Stingray Digital Group Inc. has acquired Yokee Music Ltd., the provider of three highly popular social music apps. The acquisition will complement Stingrays existing karaoke services and expand their reach in the B2C mobile app market. Yokee Musics apps have reached over 80 million downloads and gained 4 million monthly users, with over 50% year-over-year growth. The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed, but Israeli media reports suggest it was for $30-40 million. Yokee Music was founded in 2013 and has raised $1.3 million from 2B Angels and other private investors.

Stingray Digital Buys European Music Broadcaster, Musicoola
Stingray Digital plans to acquire Tel-Aviv-based music broadcaster, Musicoola, in its eighth acquisition since 2007. The acquisition will allow Stingray to expand its product offering to new customers in new countries, strengthen its presence in the Middle East and Africa, and deepen its penetration of the European market. Stingray Digital provides music services to cable, IPTV, and satellite television service providers worldwide and has over 75 million subscribers in 51 countries.
