The Israeli liaison office was established in Israel in 2019. The office focuses on importing innovation to the headquarters in Japan instead of exporting products by scouting for Israeli growth-stage start-ups with innovative solutions for strategic partnerships and JVs. Verticals of interest include but are not limited to – Ag-Tech, Agri-Food, Pharmaceuticals, Digital Health, Mobility, and Cyber Security for strategic collaboration with Sumitomo Corporation's over 900 subsidiaries located in 66 countries and regions.
