Rhombus Energy Solutions/Synvertec Synchroverter Project Selected for Israel-U.S. BIRD Foundation Program
Rhombus Energy Solutions and Synvertecs proposed Synchroverter concept has been selected for a funding grant by the Israel-U.S. Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation. The Synchroverter combines Rhombus Energy Solutions smart inverter technology with Synvertecs patented control algorithm to create an intelligent inverter that mimics the operation of a traditional synchronous generator. The solution addresses the challenges associated with integrating inverter-based renewables with the utility grid, improving grid stability and reliability. The funding from the BIRD Foundation will help make the Synchroverter a reality and allow for increased deployment of inverter-based renewables. The project is part of the BIRD Energy cooperation agreement between the U.S. Department of Energy, the Israel Ministry of Energy, and the BIRD Foundation.
