TCS Warns of US Tech Spending Weakness After Earnings Disappoint
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.s Q2 profit has missed estimates, reflecting the impact of economic slowdown on tech spending. The net income rose by 8.7% to INR 113.4 billion ($1.4 billion) in the quarter through September, slightly below the projected INR 114.09 billion. Sales climbed 7.9% to INR 596.9 billion. The company, which leads Indias $245 billion-plus IT services industry, is bracing for a slowdown as enterprises in the US and beyond cut back on technology to cope with high interest rates and inflation. TCS is also trying to fuel growth through higher-margin digital services.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), a subsidiary of Tata Motors, has partnered with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to launch TCSs Open Innovation programme in Tel Aviv, Israel.
