TD to open cybersecurity office in Tel Aviv, invest up to $5M

Toronto-Dominion Bank is planning to open a new office in Tel Aviv to tap into the citys cybersecurity talent. The banks chief information officer, Jeff Henderson, said the bank plans to invest between $3 million to $5 million in its Tel Aviv office annually and aims to hire as many as 12 staff within the next year. The move comes as companies are increasingly looking to fortify their defences against cyber threats. The bank is also investing in other technology initiatives, including artificial intelligence-powered chatbots for its mobile app.
