TechnoPulm: Diagnosing and Monitoring Lung Disease in the Community
TechnoPulm, a company founded in 2016, has developed a handheld device that can diagnose a range of lung diseases. The device, which is essentially a mobile lung-function laboratory, connects to a doctors computer or mobile phone via Bluetooth and can be used in any location. It has been trialed on 161 subjects at the Kaplan Medical Center and has shown promising results. The device is patented in Europe and the US, with additional patents still being filed. TechnoPulm is currently awaiting regulatory approval from Israels Health Ministry and the US Food & Drug Administration.
