Telicomm, an Israel-based company that enables unlimited smart city camera connectivity via cellular networks, has secured $1.3 million in series A funding. The funding round was led by South Israel Bridging Fund (SIBF) and also involved Israeli infrastructure construction company Shikun Binui. Telicomms technology allows municipalities to connect their cities for smart applications by connecting cameras over limited cellular networks without the need for physical cables. The funding will help Telicomm develop its Video over Cellular technology for smart cities. Telicomm recently announced a collaboration with Cellcom, Israels telecommunications company, to promote and support applications in 5G environments. The company plans to introduce its unique solution to international markets with the support of SIBF.
