Texas Venture Partners (TVP) is a Texas-based VC firm that invests in early-stage defense tech startups and helps penetrate the US market. Founded by two Austin-based entrepreneurs, Canadian businessman Lorne Abony, and Israeli-born Tal Shmueli, they are hands-on investors whose check size ranges between $1- 4M. The fund focuses on software and software-enhanced hardware in TRL 5 or higher.

Texas Venture Partners (TVP), in collaboration with Capital Factory and Q-Branch, has launched a 12-week DoD Readiness Program aimed at helping Israeli defense tech startups break into the U.S. market. The program offers regulatory and corporate readiness, expansion strategies, and private sessions with industry experts. It culminates in a Demo Day where startups pitch to U.S. defense investors and military stakeholders. Texas is becoming a hub for defense innovation, offering infrastructure and talent for Israeli founders to scale in the U.S. market. Applications for the first cohort are open, with the program expected to launch in March 2025.
