French giant Thales acquires Israeli spacetech startup Get SAT | CTech
French company Thales has acquired Israeli satellite company Get SAT. Get SAT, which provides efficient antenna and terminals for high-data-rate communications, will complement Thaless existing global SATCOM business and enhance its secure satellite communications offering. The acquisition amount was not disclosed. Thaless motivation for the purchase is the changing market requirements due to SpaceX, Elon Musks space company. Get SAT was founded in 2013 and currently employs about 40 people.

Thales to purchase CMT Medical shares for almost $30M
Thales Group has made an offer to purchase 50.1 percent to 100 percent of CMT Medical Technologies shares for approximately $29.3 million. This acquisition will allow Thales to expand its portfolio in the medical imaging sector and gain access to new products and pipeline potential. The deal will also provide CMT with the opportunity to leverage Thales technological knowledge and expand its sales and distribution channels worldwide. The acquisition is in line with Thales long-term strategic plan for CMT.
