Bosch, Electra to set up HVAC manufacturing facility in Israel
German multinational Bosch GmbH is collaborating with Electra Consumer Products Ltd. to set up a manufacturing facility and technological park for HVAC technologies in Ashkelon, Israel. The companies will invest a total of NIS 100 million ($29.6 million) in the new facility. Bosch subsidiary Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH and Electra Industries Ltd. have acquired joint control over Electras HVAC arm, with Bosch owning 40% of the new plant. The facility is expected to employ 300 workers and engineers and will be launched in early 2022. The partnership aims to export HVAC systems worth NIS 600 million ($177.6 million) by 2027 and control 10% of the European heat pump market in four years. Electra plans to reach 12 new markets with its HVAC systems through the partnership.
