8 early-stage Israeli startups chosen for EU grant
Eight early-stage Israeli startups have been awarded grants in the European Commissions SME Instrument Program. Israeli companies won more than double the percentage of grants compared to companies from other countries. The grants are focused on helping small- and medium-sized businesses advance the development of high-potential products. The Israeli winners of €50,000 grants are Access for Life, BreedIT, DryGair Energies, MMA Tech, PowerSines, Solight, TerraGenic, and ThermaSphera. The SME Instrument Program is open to independent companies with fewer than 250 workers and revenues under €50 million. Avi Hasson, Chief Scientist at the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry, praised the program for providing funding to innovative companies in less prominent fields.
