Tmura Overview

Tmura, the Israeli Public Service Venture Fund, is a foundation designed to increase the high-tech community's involvement in nonprofit activity in Israel, with a focus on education and other youth-related initiatives. The foundationreceives donations of equity from Israeli and Israel-related high-tech companies and, upon a liquidity event, allocates the proceeds to education and youth-related charities in Israel. Over 550 high-tech companies have already completed the process of allocating equity to Tmura, and Tmura has also had exits from many companies including Waze, Argus Cyber Security, Replay, Valtech, Ravello, CyberArk, Wix, eXelate, Borderfree, Checkmarx, Intucell, and XtremIO. Tmura has generated millions of dollars for the community, which has been allocated to several nonprofit organizations focusing on youth and education.

Tmura Social Impact Fund Raises $2M From High-Tech Exits In 2015

Tmura, the Israeli Public Service Venture Fund, raised $2 million in 2015, bringing the total amount raised to $12.8 million. The fund raises money through equity donations from high-tech startups, and when these companies are acquired or go public, the proceeds go to education and youth charities supported by Tmura. Last year, Tmura received capital from the IPOs of CyberArk and ReWalk Robotics, as well as from the acquisitions of Panoramic Power, Panaya, Checkmarxs, eXelate, BillGuard, and WatchDox.
