Morocco venture capital firm seeks more investments in Israeli tech startups

Moroccan venture capital firm UM6P Ventures plans to add at least four Israeli startups to its portfolio this year. The company is seeking to invest in early-stage startups in the areas of biotechnology, agrotech, and alternative proteins. UM6P Ventures aims to scale up biotech solutions in Africa and is particularly interested in deep-tech domains. The venture firm made investments in 20 startups in 2022 and operates two funds focused on digital transformation and deep-tech technologies. UM6P Ventures previously invested in two Israeli startups, ClimateCrop and Biotic. The company is also in talks with Start-Up Nation Central and the Israel Innovation Authority.
