VComm Overview

VComm is aiming to enhance safety and traffic management for V2X connected vehicles by leveraging artificial intelligence and big data. The companys first solution is focused on the domain of urban micromobility, including eScooter and eBike safety, rider behavior enforcement and data, and the use of smart safety algorithms by eScooters and eBikes for direct communication with traffic light controllers in urban intersections. VComms communication platform can be installed as an onboard unit on the eScooter or as a roadside unit in the traffic light controller. The platform is designed to warn the rider of running red lights, to execute autonomous braking if necessary, to collect data on the riders behavior, and to send enforcement notifications to the authorities and to the riders smartphone in real time.

TIER Mobility, a leading global micro-mobility operator, has announced a partnership with Israeli start-up VComm. The partnership aims to prioritize rider and road user safety by creating a safe eco-system in the micro-mobility market. VComms technology will help TIER differentiate between riders who obey traffic laws and those who do not. VComm has developed a digital environment that collects data from various sources, such as TIERs electric scooters, and analyses it to identify and provide insights on unsafe behaviours that occur during rides.
