Chinese structural heart disease company Venus Medtech has acquired 100% equity interest in Israeli firm Cardiovalve, a transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve treatment firm. The acquisition, completed on January 26th, allows Venus Medtech to become a market leader in the Chinese mitral and tricuspid regurgitation treatment markets. Cardiovalves transfemoral approach improves treatment safety and its system covers 95% of patients. The market value for mitral and tricuspid regurgitation interventional therapy is expected to reach $5 billion by 2028.
