Researchers from BGU and CCH Introduce Novel Digital Health Platform
BGN Technologies, in collaboration with Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center and Hadassah Medical Center, has developed a monitoring technology called VitalMiner for the early prediction of hemodynamic instability episodes in intensive care patients. The software monitors vital signs in real time and applies advanced algorithms to predict impending episodes of hemodynamic instability. In evaluation experiments, VitalMiner showed improved predictive capability compared to existing approaches. BGN Technologies is currently looking for a partner for further development and commercialization of the system. The patient monitoring market is expected to reach approximately $28 billion by the end of 2020.

Israel, US researchers develop software that predicts blood pressure instability
Researchers at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and Hadassah Medical Center have developed software to predict blood pressure instability in intensive care patients. The software, named VitalMiner, can monitor vital signs in real time and apply algorithms to predict impending episodes of hemodynamic instability. The technology transfer unit of Ben-Gurion University is seeking a partner to further develop and commercialize the software. The software showed improved predictive capability compared to existing systems in evaluation experiments. The patient monitoring market is expected to reach $25 billion by 2023. Ben-Gurion University and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital have a collaboration to address the lack of medical devices for children.
