Israeli co Vessl Therapeutics raises $16m
Israeli cell-based therapy developer Vessl Therapeutics has completed a $16 million financing round led by Chinas RunYoung Capital. Vessls core technology enables the company to develop treatments for a wide range of blood-vessel-related disorders. The financing round brings the total amount raised by Vessl to $20 million. The company aims to create groundbreaking therapies for patients with various diseases for whom conventional treatments have failed or are unsuitable.

Teva raises investment in cell therapy co
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. has exercised its option to make an additional investment in MultiGene Vascular Systems Ltd. at a company value of $135 million. The investment follows the completion of a clinical trial for MultiGene Vascular Systems treatment of chronic critical limb ischemia. Teva had previously invested $4 million in MultiGene Vascular Systems in 2009. The investors in MultiGene Vascular Systems include Teva, Aviv Venture Capital, DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures Ltd., and Ofer Hi Tech Ltd.
