New Tel Aviv Accelerator Offers Program Dedicated to Female Founders
Tel Avivs newest accelerator, Women of Startup Nation Accelerator (WOSNA), aims to address the gender diversity issue in the Israeli tech industry. Only 34% of employees in Israels tech sector are women, and a small percentage of startups have female founders or co-founders. WOSNA, founded by Barr Yaron, Jordan Windmueller, and Oshrat Goldberg, officially launched with its first cohort of 11 startups led by at least one female founder. The accelerator offers workshops, mentorship, and resources to the participating startups. All mentors in the program are female, including founders of successful startups and industry professionals. The startups will pitch their technologies to local investors on a demo day.

Israel's first tech accelerator for women gets underway
WOSNA, Israels first high-tech accelerator program for female startup entrepreneurs, has received over 130 applications for its first round. The program aims to address the gender diversity issue in the Israeli tech industry, where women account for just 9% of all entrepreneurs. The four-week program offers lectures, workshops, and consulting from investors, entrepreneurs, and tech executives. Each participating startup is assigned a female mentor and contact person. WOSNA is part of the Women of Startup Nation community, which was founded three years ago to document the achievements of women in Israeli high-tech. The program covers various sectors, including fashion, artificial intelligence, fintech, real estate, advertising, enterprise software, and govtech.
