Nespresso Israel is launching a pilot project with Israeli startup 1MRobotics, which develops tiny robotic warehouses, to shorten the delivery time of coffee orders to its customers to up to two hours from the moment of order. The order received in the robotic warehouse will be ready for delivery and pickup within minutes by the courier company. The pilot, which is taking place in Tel Aviv, will initially include one robotic warehouse and will take place among a defined radius of Nespresso customers. The new technology will allow full automation of the picking and packaging process of the deliveries, optimal inventory planning and management, and significant savings in electricity costs.
