yieldsApp is an AI-based agronomic platform that enables farmers and agribusinesses to convert field data into actionable field-management decisions. The platform predicts, detects, and diagnoses pests, diseases, soil health, and nutrient disorders and then automatically generates detailed daily recommendations and tailor-made action plans for the application of crop-protection products and fertilizers. yieldsApp helps farmers increase yields, improve soil health, and prevent or eliminate pests and diseases while minimizing the use of agrochemicals, reducing their carbon footprint, and staying environmentally compliant. yieldsApp is focused on seamlessly bringing together farmers and agriculture industry corporates (e.g. food and beverage companies, extension services, governments, NGOs, etc.) for increased resilience throughout the entire food supply chain.

On September 19, the Joint Organization, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Industry and the Pears Program for Global Innovation, concluded its entrepreneurship journey program. The program focused on Israeli ag-tech companies adapting their products for smallholder farmers in Ethiopia and creating potential partnerships. Two partnerships received $25,000 each for pilot projects: Grofit with Birrama, and YieldsApp with EUCORDs Ethiopian branch. Grofit developed a unique sensor for agricultural data collection, while Birrama connects farmers with consumers in Addis Ababa. YieldsApp offers a digital platform for ag-tech insights. The initiative aims to leverage Israeli innovation to reduce poverty and hunger in Africa, particularly Ethiopia.
