Yozma Group to open startup center in S. Korea
Yozma Group, a global tech venture capital firm, plans to open a startup support center in South Korea by the end of the year. The support center, located in Pangyo, will provide assistance to local venture firms and focus on fostering startups in the biotechnology and healthcare industries. Yozma Group had previously announced a plan to invest 1 trillion won ($844 million) in South Korea through 2017. The Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning stated that startups will have opportunities to expand their business network through Yozmas infrastructure. The support center is set to launch in December.

Yozma Group Picks Korea as First Investment Partner in Asia
The Yozma Group has signed a strategic investment agreement with 500V, a Korean online-to-offline (O2O) venture association. The Yozma Group, a global venture capital firm, will invest 1 billion won (US$888,260) in 500V through its business accelerator, Yozma Ventures. The investment amount is expected to increase over time. Yozma Ventures believes that 500Vs business structure and growth model are unique and can present new growth models for startups and venture firms across Asia. The Yozma Group has a history of partnering with IT ventures and helping them list on the NASDAQ or be acquired by industry leaders. 500V was officially launched last month and focuses on the mobile sector.
