Intel is in advanced negotiations to sell a majority stake in its programmable chip unit, Altera, to private equity firm Silver Lake. Part of Allscripts re-branded to Altera Digital Health
Allscripts hospitals and large physician practices business has been acquired by Harris Computer Corporation and will now be known as Altera Digital Health. The deal, worth £526 million ($700 million), includes a fixed price of £503 million ($670 million) and a contingent consideration of up to £22.5 million ($30 million) based on the businesss performance in the two years following the deal closing. Allscripts Veradigm business segment is not included in the deal and will continue to be owned by them.

Allscripts teams with Israel's CDI on digital health
CDI has signed a strategic partnership with Allscripts to establish the CDI-Allscripts lab in Beer Sheva, connecting Israeli digital healthcare startups to the US healthcare market. Allscripts acquires dbMotion for $235m
Healthcare software developer dbMotion has been acquired by Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc. for $235 million. Allscripts will pay $145 million in cash, $50 million of stock, and $40 million in cash via a note payable within 18 months. dbMotion technology is a key component of the Allscripts Connected Community of Health.
