The collaboration aims to provide assurance to both the operators and the traveling public. The cost of the system and its maintenance are minor compared to the benefits it provides. The disinfection system has been certified to be 100% efficient in disinfection by external laboratory tests conducted by Bactochem.

Metro Kav to apply disinfection technology on its taxi fleets
Israeli taxi company Metro Kav has won a tender from the Israeli Ministry of Transportation to operate its taxi fleet with a unique air filtration system to minimize exposure to coronavirus pathogens. The company developed smart filters that can be placed into existing vehicular air conditioners, with a smart algorithm that alerts the driver when the filter needs to be replaced. The system has shown 100% efficiency in removing coronavirus pathogens and other bacteria from the air. Metro Kav plans to deploy the system on shared taxis in central Israel.
