Bio Fence aims to reduce the morbidity and mortality caused by infections that are spread as a result of contaminated environments. The company has developed a patented technology for antimicrobial and antiviral coating of surfaces. Bio Fences technology is based on a polymer designed to be incorporated into plastics, paints, and coatings. The polymer can withdraw biocides from disinfection solutions and stabilize them on the surface, where they are slowly released over a period of weeks into any organic matter that comes in contact with them.
